Impact Microcredit has officially begun! Since being notified of their acceptance to Impact Microcredit, teams of high school students across Canada have been refining their ideas and preparing for the ten day challenge of using an $100 microloan to kick start their own business venture to generate as much profit as they can! All profit will then be donated to the charity of the team’s choice. Today at 7:00AM EST, teams of high school students across Canada commenced the operation of their own unique business venture and are officially allowed to begin to sell their products and services!

Teams have submitted some amazing ideas for their proposals and we can’t wait to see how much profit they will generate, how much they will learn through running a business venture for ten days, and how much of an impact they will make in their communities!

Additionally, so everyone can  learn about the experience of our participants, we have launched a social network just for Impact Microcredit participants! Be sure to check out http://impactmicrocredit.ning.com/ over the next two weeks to see photos, blog posts, and videos made by Impact Microcredit participants.

Good Luck to all teams participating!
